I know that Carter isn't perfect, but his teacher thinks he is just about perfect. She loves him. As his mother I take all sorts of pride in that. Mrs. Stenberg has told me so many positive things about him. He is such a good boy. He is nice to everyone in the class. He is such a natural leader. I had never heard a bad thing about him from her. So, last week I get a letter in the mail from Mrs. Stenberg. My first thoughts were, what wonderful thing has Carter done that she wants to tell us about? Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be this.

I was devastated! How could my sweet boy do this?

This was the letter he wrote to the lunch lady.

This was the picture he drew on the back of the letter. I guess the other picture was much worse, but since they were both doing it she had to send this home to me.
Now that a week has past I can see the humor in my child making mistakes, but I was terribly disappointed that day. Live and learn, right?
Oh Carter...
ReplyDeleteI could never see him doing that!
