Father's Day

In primary they filled out some info for their dad's just like they did for their mom's. Let's see what they have to say about Quinn.

This first one is from Miles.

The answers are as follows (just in case you don't understand).
1. Fun
2. Go camping
3. Pizza
4. Likes Legos
5. Plays with me
6. A hug
7. Go play the wii

And now for Carter's responses.

1. Crazy!! (At first I thought he put classy and I thought that was random, then Quinn pointed out that it said crazy. Ahhhh... that makes much more sense).
2. Play with Legos
3. Cake (Again, my first thought was wrong. I thought he put Coke which really would have made more sense).
4. Cooks
5. Rests (if only!)
6. Legos
7. Carter!!!

A return to blogging

Several months ago our desktop computer died. Or crashed. Or did something. That is where I download all my photos. So they have not been down loaded for quite sometime. Our cameras hold a lot of picture. We had several things coming up (including our trip to Boston and New York that I will add shortly) so we didn't think we should be spending our money on a new computer at that time.

I am happy to say that we did get a new desktop. We also took our old one to someone who knows a thing or two about computers and he was able to rescue all our files and pictures (most had been saved to an external hard drive). He also said he was able to bring our computer back to life. That might be something the boys can use at some point. I just have to organize my thoughts and pictures and I will be updating more soon.

Thank you for your patience.

Mother's Day

I LOVE being a mother. I love my two wonderful boys. That is not to say that they don't drive me nuts at times, but I love them. For the most part they are nice to each other. They are nice to others. They love me and show me that they love me. I love going on "dates" with them. I love seeing them grow and learn.

My favorite part of Mother's Day is watching my children sing in Sacrament meeting with all the other primary children. Their little faces looking at me as I smile back at them with a huge grin so they know I am proud of them. I know relationships change with teenagers, but I hope and pray that we will always have a loving relationship.

This is what they did in primary on Mother's Day. Now I know what my children really think. The top answers are Carter's, the bottom are Miles.

I love those kiddos. Even if they think all I do or want to do is lie down and take a nap. I guess there are worse things to do as a mother.

Carter's not perfect?

I know that Carter isn't perfect, but his teacher thinks he is just about perfect. She loves him. As his mother I take all sorts of pride in that. Mrs. Stenberg has told me so many positive things about him. He is such a good boy. He is nice to everyone in the class. He is such a natural leader. I had never heard a bad thing about him from her. So, last week I get a letter in the mail from Mrs. Stenberg. My first thoughts were, what wonderful thing has Carter done that she wants to tell us about? Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be this.

I was devastated! How could my sweet boy do this?

This was the letter he wrote to the lunch lady.

This was the picture he drew on the back of the letter. I guess the other picture was much worse, but since they were both doing it she had to send this home to me.

Now that a week has past I can see the humor in my child making mistakes, but I was terribly disappointed that day. Live and learn, right?

Easter Sunday

I love Easter Sunday. It is generally an over all good day. There is some fun stuff such as Easter baskets and Easter egg hunts at Grannie's house. But there is also church. A time to celebrate the birth of our Savior. I really enjoyed church this year. I generally do enjoy it, but it was an exceptional day this time around. The choir sang some beautiful songs and there were some wonderful talks. The rest of the meetings went well too. It just felt light and peaceful.

I don't have girls so there aren't the Easter dresses to be bought. I do however enjoy finding something for Miles and Carter. When they were younger I could find cute sweater vests. As they have gotten bigger it has evolved into pastel shirts. They look so handsome. I bust out my purple shirt that I wear on Easter. I think I only wear it on Easter. So for the past several years I am wearing this shirt on Easter. I'm ok with that.

Miles and Carter are so handsome. They are growing up.

Quinn and his boys. Handsome all the way around.

I love these kiddos.

And I love this guy.

After church was the Easter egg hunt at Grannie's. We all bring a couple bags of candy, fill up tons of eggs and hide as many eggs as we can. After that we just throw them all over the yard. The kids enjoy it.

Miles searched high and low for as many eggs as he could find.

Carter is on the prowl.

Checking out the loot.
