Thanksgiving

This year Thanksgiving was with my family. It wasn't nearly as crazy as I thought it was be. Just crazy enough. We were there with our two kids, Jason and Heather with their 5 kids, Seth and Sarah with their 2 kids, Cassandra with her two kids and Liz and Matt and their 3 kids. All of us plus my parents. Adam and Diena and their 4 kids and Becky and Kurt and their two kids stayed in Arizona. Sarah and Vinnie and their baby headed to Hawaii to spend Thanksgiving with Vinnie's family.

Quinn and I had run the Turkey Trot that morning so I was trying not to overdo it the rest of the day. We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner. Cassandra made 11 pies and I made my lemon meringue pie. We had PLENTY of pies. After our big dinner we all just pretty much hung out the rest of the day. The kids spent a lot of time playing the Wii.

That evening we lucked out and had the boys stay the night at my parents house. Quinn and I wanted to do some black Friday shopping. We didn't have anything big we wanted to get so we were able to go and just get some good deals. We got almost all our Christmas shopping done that day. We have a few things we need to get for others, but not much. That is such a good feeling.

  2. I agree with you...just enough craziness! It's always amazing to me the sound level that ensues when we all get together! I thought your pie was so very pretty, but I didn't even try any! Shame on me....it's not like we didn't have enough pies. One per every adult?? A bit much maybe? Nah, it's the Riding's!
