This is Fred. Or a picture that looks just like Fred anyway. Fred is our 2000 Ford Taurus. When we first purchased it several years ago we asked the boys what we should name it. Miles was just starting to read and read Ford as Fred. That is how Fred got its name.
As I was driving the other day I watched it roll over to 120,000 miles. It was a somewhat pleasing moment. Fred has been a good car. Many times I have thought, it isn't a sexy car, but it has been a pretty reliable car. We have had a few small problems that any car might have, but nothing major. Fred is paid for and I have this desire to see how long we can keep it and how many miles it will have on it before we have to part our seperate ways. Hopefully we have many years and miles ahead. Happy 120,000 miles Fred!
I'm with you Melissa... I love not having a car payment. I want to drive those things into the ground (or until they are no longer safe to make it to AZ).
